Enjoying The Fullness of Life

Today’s Word:

Jesus “appointed Twelve whom He named Apostles, that they might be with Him” (Mark 3:14)

On This Date…

On January 22, 1973 the United States Supreme Court rendered the decision in Roe vs. Wade to permit abortion. Today in Washington, DC the annual March for Life was held, as it has been every year since 1973. Today’s issue of The Dialog has a front-page picture of the  Wilmington March for Life, held on January 15; in the picture is Father Anthony Pileggi, Archmere Class of 1987.

Father Michael Collins

Father Michael Collins

On January 22, 2015 Father Michael Collins, O.Praem. died suddenly at Daylesford Abbey at age 64; he was a 1968 graduate of Archmere and spent 34 years at Archmere as teacher, assistant athletic director, and dean of student life.

In today’s Gospel Jesus “appointed Twelve whom He named Apostles, that they might be with Him”. Father Collins now enjoys the fullness of life with the One who called him to priesthood.
