Serafin String Quartet To Play Concert At Archmere – October 16, 2014
Archmere Academy’s Friends of The Patio will welcome the Music School of Delaware’s acclaimed Serafin String Quartet on Sunday, November 9, 2014, as the first featured act of this year’s Helena Springer Green Raskob Concert Series. The concert will take place at 3 p.m. in The Patio and is open to the public.
Tickets for the concert are $35 for adults and $20 for students. To purchase tickets, visit http://www.archmereacademy.com/greenconcertseries. All event proceeds benefit restoration projects in The Patio.
Fall Open House – October 9, 2014
Archmere Academy Admissions will host a fall Open House for prospective students on Sunday, November 16, beginning promptly at 1 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
Archmere Academy Dramatics Presents “Teach Me How To Cry” – October 10, 2014
Archmere Academy Theatre presents its fall play production, Teach Me How to Cry, a drama written by Patricia Joudry. The production will run Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th at 7pm in Archmere’s Theater. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and admission cost is $5 for students of any age (any school), faculty, and senior citizens. General admission is $10.

Archmere Academy is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Music School of Delaware, which includes Music School faculty and the Serafin String Quartet (the University of Delaware’s String Quartet in Residence) as part of UD’s outreach program. The partnership will offer Archmere students the opportunity to participate in a unique after school String Ensemble program, beginning this coming fall. This partnership builds on Archmere’s existing String Ensemble program, initiated a year ago.
Archmere To Implement Tech “Refresh” Of Its 1:1 Laptop Program For Next Fall – May 27, 2014
Archmere Academy is pleased to announce that it will be issuing brand new 13-inch MacBook Airs to all returning and incoming students for the start of the 2014-15 school year. Archmere launched the 1:1 Laptop Program in fall of 2011, issuing at the time, new 13-inch MacBook Pro laptops.
Two Archmere Seniors Named National Merit Scholars; 16 Juniors To Be Recognized Next Fall – May 15, 2014
Classmates Brian Zhang ’14 and Justine Zhang ’14 have been named 2014 National Merit Scholars, and each is a recipient of a $2500 National Merit Scholarship. In addition, 16 rising seniors (current juniors) will receive recognition in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program next fall, with the chance to be named National Merit semifinalists.
